Maple Valley Food Bank and Emergency Services is dedicated to providing quality
backpacks filled with new, essential supplies for K-12th grade students, who might
otherwise go without, in Covington, Hobart, Ravensdale, Maple Valley and within
the boundaries of the Tahoma School District.
Collection of school supply donations and preregistration of qualified recipients
wraps up this week. There is still a need of cash donations to purchase remaining
supplies in bulk. Thanks to the generous support of the Maple Valley Rotary, MVFB&ES
has already been able to purchase enough new, full-size backpacks to complete the
expected need for about 600 packs.
Backpacks will be distributed just in time for back-to-school on Tuesday, August
30. Monetary donations by check can be mailed to MVFB&ES (note School Supplies in
