Once again, Maple Valley Firefighters went above and beyond the call-of-duty and
volunteered their time at ‘Fill-the-Boot’ to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy
Association. Thousands upon thousands of dollars were raised on Friday, August 26
at the Four Corners intersection. Ninety-four percent of the money raised benefits
local families affected by muscular dystrophy and other muscle diseases.
Gabe DeBay ran through the traffic with his fire boot in a show of support for the
firefighters, the community, and the MDA. DeBay said, “It’s always nice to help
Jerry’s Kids!”
