A nationwide phishing scam involves fraudulent emails claiming to be a Puget Sound
Energy billing notification.
What to look for:
PSE customers should look for a boldfaced message, Refer to attached file, to identify
the fraudulent email. Another clue to identify the fraudulent email is if the message
begins with “Dear Customer” rather than the customer’s name.
What to do:
DO NOT click on the link in the email or open any attachments since they may contain
a virus and harm your computer. Delete the email notice immediately.
NOTE: This fraudulent scam does not affect your Puget Sound Energy account, which
is secure. Please call 1-888-225-5773 if you have any questions.
