On January 2 Maple Valley Fire Firefighters were toned out to a fully involved house fire just after 1:30 p.m. After working several hours and rolling hundreds of feet of hose the firefighters returned to their stations to a warm meal cooked by the Soup Ladies.

The firefighters who were assigned to stay at the scene, to make sure the fire did not re-start, also enjoyed the meal when some of the firefighters showed up to share. The Soup Ladies are well known all over the world and to think they live here, right in our own backyard, is pretty cool! A huge thank you to the Soup Ladies for taking care of us!
