Due to the large power outage in the area, the impressive documentary film – Live
to Forgive – with Dean Smith cancelled its evening showing on Sunday, January 22,
at Maple Valley Presbyterian – however – it has now been rescheduled for Sunday,
February 12, from 6-8 p.m.
This powerful film documents the events of Smith’s life leading up to and then through
the gate of forgiveness. In 2011, it won the Most Inspirational Documentary at the
Hollywood Christian Film Festival, as well as the 2010 Best Narrative Film at the
International Christian Film Festival. It has also received the highest rating from
The Dove Foundation with 5 Doves.
Smith brought his powerful message of forgiveness through Christ – no matter the
sin, guilt, or past – to a crowd of approximately 500 during Maple Valley Presbyterian’s
Sunday morning services on January 22. Upon his return on February 12, he will not
only be sharing the film Live to Forgive, but he will also speak once again for
a short time.
Childcare will be available for children 0-5 years old during the Sunday, February
12 event from 6-8 p.m. For more information, please call Maple Valley Presbyterian
Church, located at 22659 Sweeney Rd. SE in Maple Valley (corner of SE Petrovitsky
