Congratulations Maple Valley Special Olympics Softball and Skill teams for an amazing
first year! Two teams qualified for State during the past summer season – Unified
Senior’s took the GOLD medal and Skill’s accumulated a variety of ribbons and medals.
Tahoma Special Olympics, over many years of participation, has earned the reputation
for being good competition and excellent sportsmanship.
Another first for Maple Valley Special Olympics is bowling. The season is well under
way and regional competition is scheduled for November 6 in Federal Way. This team
is packed with athletes and like softball is open to masters. (Master’s are individuals
who have aged out of the Tahoma School System SO and are typically older than 21
years.)
