The City of Maple Valley’s annual Holiday Lights Celebration is set for Wednesday, December 7 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lake Wilderness Lodge, Park and Arboretum. Experience thousands of festive lights, creative holiday displays, cookies, hot chocolate and familiar sounds of the season.

The Holiday Express trackless train will be providing free rides through the brilliantly decorated Arboretum. Holiday entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Dickens Carolers and the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra. The staff of the Greater Maple Valley Community Center’s Children & Family Services will be hosting crafts for the children and families. And then, sometime during the of course of the evening, Santa will arrive on Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety’s Holiday Engine for a picture opportunity for everyone who believes.

Parking for the public will be available in the well-lit parking lot at the beach and a well-lit walkway will guide you safely to the activities happening at the Lodge.

Do not forget that canned food, new toys and cash donations will be accepted by the Maple Valley Food Bank at the event.

The City of Maple Valley Parks & Recreation would like to invite local groups to assist with the installation of the lights from Nov. 21 – Dec. 5. Anyone 16 years old and over who would like to volunteer to help with the lights or during the event should contact Mary Pauk for details at Mary.Pauk@maplevalleywa.gov or 425-432-9953.
