On February 1, officers received information that a male subject who was under the requirement of Sex Offender Registration laws had been residing at an address not associated with him. The officer contacted the male subject and learned he had been living at this new address for a few months and lied to the officer previously about moving, violating the law which states he has three days to update his address to local authorities. The male subject was arrested and booked into King County Jail.

On January 30 on the 32400 block of 3rd Ave., officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers contacted the husband and wife involved. Through investigation it was determined that the intoxicated husband had assaulted the wife and he was placed under arrest on Assault-4th degree charges. Two children inside the residence witnessed the assault and the husband was also charged with Exposing Children to DV. The husband was booked into Buckley Jail. After being released with a No Contact Order in place, the husband violated the terms of the order by contacting his wife through Facebook with intimidating comments. The husband was located at the Buckley Library and booked into Buckley Jail on the order violation.

On January 26, officers obtained information that a male subject under Department of Corrections supervision had a felony warrant for violations related to terms of his release from custody. The officers located the subject at a residence on the 32400 block of 2nd Ave. and after placing him under arrest, a vial of Heroin was located in his possession. The male subject was booked into Enumclaw Jail on the warrant and charges are currently pending on the controlled substance violation.

Covington

Covington Police Patch On January 27 at 2 p.m. on the 19100 block of SE 267th St., a male was observed lying on the ground with facial and head injuries. Upon contact, the male stated that he was drunk and that he had gotten rolled. A pint of Vodka three quarters gone was found on his person. The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

On January 26 at 12:57 p.m. on the 17000 block of SE 272nd St., a male was observed taking 6 DVDs and concealing them at his waist. He was contacted after passing all checkout points. Check of his driver’s license revealed that it was a photocopy. The male was released pending filing of charges for Theft, 3rd degree.

On January 22 between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. of January 25 on the 26900 block of 204th Ave. SE, during a memorial held at a resident’s home, the resident pulled out her husband’s Gibson Les Paul Custom Silver Burst electric guitar. A few days later the resident found that the guitar had been removed from its case and was missing.

King County

On January 30 between 6:30 a.m.-2:48 p.m. on the 28800 block of 207th Ave. SE, a resident returned home to find that someone damaged a window above a door knob, but no apparent entry had been made.

On January 26 at 1:42 p.m. on the 20700 block of SE 295th St., it was reported that several days earlier, mail had been stolen from a mailbox. Following the mail theft, a female was observed driving back and forth by the mailboxes until the mail was delivered. Upon being observed getting out of her vehicle and walking towards the mailbox, a resident went outside. Seeing the resident, the female – described as white, long dark hair and driving a small purple car – got back into her vehicle and left the scene.

On January 25 between 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on the 16500 block of SE Green Valley Rd., someone trimmed a small tree that sits on an easement between two neighbors. Some blackberry bushes were also trimmed on one of the neighbor’s properties next to the easement as well.

On January 25 at 6:20 a.m. on the 14600 block of SE 216th St., it was reported that a vehicle that was still running with its ignition pulled was left at the top of a hill blocking traffic. The vehicle was towed.

On January 24 between 8 p.m. and 5 p.m. of January 25 on the 23000 block of 204th Ave. SE, a resident left her unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway. When she returned she discovered that her purse, which had several credit cards as well as passport, had been stolen. While calling the credit card companies, the resident discovered that the cards had been used extensively at a mall and in a nearby city.

On January 22 at 2:25 p.m. in the area of SE 215th and Maxwell Rd. SE, a male driver was contacted for speeding and improper lane travel. The male was cited for DUI and his vehicle impounded.

Maple Valley

Maple Valley Police Dept Logo On January 27 at 2 p.m. on the 26900 block of SR 169, a male was observed taking a box of eye cream and concealing it with his arm. Although the male went through the self-checkout line to purchase other items, he did not purchase the cream. The male claimed it was a misunderstanding; however, the cream was not listed in the purchased items. The male was released pending filing of charges for Theft, 3rd degree.

On January 27 between 1:30-3:25 p.m. on the 27700 block of 215th Pl. SE, a 6 year old climbed on a chair in order to light several cupcake paper liners on a fireplace mantel on fire.

On January 27 at 8:15 a.m. on the 21000 block of SE 276th St., a man-door to a garage had been left unlocked. Someone entered and stole a chain saw, generator and 5-gallon gas can filled with fuel. VOICE of the Valley Police News
