October 22, 2011 marks the 21st anniversary of Make A Difference Day, the nation's
largest day of community service. Millions of Americans will unite in a common mission
to improve the lives of others on Make A Difference Day. Do you believe in the power
of neighbors helping neighbors? Discover how you can get involved at a local level
and truly create change this year on Maple Valley's Make A Difference Day - Saturday,
October 22.
Over the past eleven years, the Rotary Club of Maple Valley and the City of Maple
Valley have collectively partnered to bring volunteers and projects together. Seize
this amazing opportunity, get involved and participate, as everyone is welcome to
volunteer, from toddlers to seniors and everyone in-between!
Financial assistance for Maple Valley’s 11th annual “Make a Difference Day” community
service projects and acts of service is currently available. Applications from local
area residents, non-profits and service organizations will be accepted until noon
on Monday, September 29, 2011.
