Is it time for a change in Maple Valley?
My name is Bill Woodcock and I say it is time to move Maple Valley forward. It is
time to take action to ensure the future of Maple Valley. Through smart economic
development, through well thought out goals and timelines to accomplish these goals,
we can have a big impact, if we work together.
I can’t do it alone, I need your help. I am asking for your vote to bring positive
action to our City. We need to avoid being bogged down in the “processes” and concentrate
on the results. I am a proven leader with a past record of accomplishments for the
city of and, more importantly, the citizens of Maple Valley.
Some of my past experience includes:
- Planning Commissioner, City of Maple Valley 1997-2001
- President, Maple Valley Rotary 2001-2002
- Chair and Founder, Make a Difference day, 2001 and 2002
- Chair, Legacy Site Citizens Advisory Committee, Maple Valley, 2001-2005
- Citizen of the Year, Golden Maple Leaf Recipient, Maple Valley, August 31, 2002
- President, Maple Valley- Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce, 2008-2009
- Graduate, Jennifer Dunn Leadership Institute, 2010
- Delegate, East King County legislative Coalition 2009 to present
- Graduate, Leadership Institute of South Puget Sound, 2011
- Current President Elect, Maple Valley Rotary
I have lived in Maple Valley for 16 years, have a wonderful wife, a daughter who
just graduated from Tahoma High School, will be attending UW in the fall, and a
son going into Tahoma Middle School. We are active in many areas of our community
including attending Phillips Tae Kwon Do and successfully testing for our Black
Belts in 2010.
I have a proven record of clear and distinct leadership, a passion for our city,
and the willingness to roll up my sleeves and work to make Maple Valley the best
place to live. We need strong leadership with a history of success to lead our city.
We can do it together. Again, I am asking for your vote in November and will work
hard to both earn your vote and your trust.

Thank you,
